Meet Mary! Kutztown University Intern

I am a senior at Kutztown University, and I am originally from Chalfont, PA. I am majoring in Finance and Personal Financial Planning, with a minor in Public Relations. Here at KU, I am a captain on the Women’s soccer team, and I have been involved in the College of Business A.I.M program (Applied Investment Management). A.I.M is an invite only course that allows students to manage a real fund of money for the university. It is comprised of stocks that student pitch to buy, sell, or hold each semester with a goal of outperforming the S&P 500 stock index.   

I find balance outside of school and soccer by spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy playing pickle ball, board games, baking, and traveling with them. I most recently traveled to Portugal and Spain in May, although my favorite destination is Disney with my family!  

I am excited to be joining Haas Financial Group to extend my classroom learning to face-face client interaction, jump-starting my financial planning career aspirations.   

Share something people don’t know about you: I am an avid sourdough baker, and my favorite things to bake are cinnamon rolls and bagels. I enjoy making sourdough because baking is relaxing to me!  

One thing on my bucket list: I want to visit the coast of Italy and Greece because I want to explore historical regions and eat great food.   

Ben shares: Mary carries a quiet confidence, and I could tell from the moment we were first introduced that her professionalism and ability to articulate her thoughts will lead to great success in her quest to become a Financial Planner. We’re really looking forward to having her be a part of the team this semester.
