Q

+ What's involved with becoming a client?

We believe wealth management is a process that requires time, focus, and discipline.  How you think and feel about money is at the center of our planning process.  We earn trust by being an accessible and accountable guide to the decisions that will shape your financial experiences.

There are several steps to determining if we are a fit.  Check out our detailed process for becoming a client here

Q

+ How do we get paid?

There are two main ways we get paid:

  • Through financial planning/personal consulting and/or through investment management
  • Which fee model is right for you?

We do not have a Series 7 license and cannot be compensated through investment commissions or transaction, only through our advice.

We do maintain an insurance license through U.S. Insurance Brokers and can be compensated through certain insurance solutions recommended within your financial plan, should you ask us to provide this service.

Our asset management fees are tied to our client's account value.  Hence, we are incentivized to help the account grow, and work to stabilize account values through difficult markets.

    Latest Publications

Can you believe it’s been a year since our first magazine publication?  In our financial planning process, we always try to come up with the worst case scenario and then build our assumptions around that.  In the case of our magazine: What if nobody reads it?  What if nobody likes the topics we picked?  What if we just can’t pull off the logistics of actually printing our own content and distributing it in paper form? I had that "gut" feeling we could pull it off, and pull it off really well.  Our team is balanced with a mix of seasoned professionals, well-versed in the finance industry; and some newbies with a fresh set of eyes and an open mind.  Seemed like the perfect mix to put out great content that was appealing to read.

Fast forward to now. Are we glad we stepped out on a limb to share financial planning topics in a different way? YES! Did we have all the details ironed out on day one? No! But, we had a can-do mindset and we took the small steps to reach our broader goal of a new publication every quarter = big win for us (and hopefully you too!)

As you read this edition, we hope you'll find the inspiration to evaluate your habits and think about small, positive incremental changes you may want to make. Oh, and there's also some nerdy stuff like taxes and where to save. Enjoy!
