Fix Fine Flourish

Over the years, we’ve found that our clients most often reach out during major life transitions—whether it’s preparing for retirement, dealing with the loss of a loved one, undergoing a career change, selling a business, or navigating a marriage or divorce. These moments come with a multitude of questions and important decisions, making financial planning an urgent need. That’s when we step in to provide clarity, chart a new path, and help you move confidently into the next phase of life – as outlined here

Once we’ve completed the initial planning phases, our relationship doesn’t stop there. We recognize that life doesn’t stay the same, and neither should your financial plan. That’s why we prioritize ongoing reviews to ensure your plan remains aligned with your evolving life and goals. This is where the value of our continued partnership truly shines.

Here’s what ongoing financial planning looks like with us:

Annual Review Meetings: At least once a year, we’ll meet to audit your financial situation. Key questions we’ll address include:

  • How’s your cash flow?
  • Are beneficiary designations up to date?
  • Should we tweak taxes or withholdings?
  • Is it time to rebalance your portfolio?
  • What open action items need attention?

Targeted Meetings: In addition to annual reviews, we may meet more frequently based on your specific needs. Common topics include:

  • Reviewing your tax returns each Spring using Holistiplan for proactive planning.
  • Discussing estate planning documents or using Everplans to help organize your affairs.
  • Evaluating insurance options such as life insurance policies or long-term care benefits.
  • Reviewing gifting strategies to maximize tax deductions and share wealth.

Investment Reviews: We’ll regularly meet to discuss rebalancing portfolios, managing contributions and withdrawals, handling required minimum distributions, and limiting tax friction.

The “Flourish” Meeting: Sometimes, especially in retirement, clients want to explore new possibilities in their financial lives. Whether it’s finding ways to use excess savings, navigating the “Messy Middle” of purpose and identity, or building confidence in spending, we offer a “Flourish” meeting to help you reimagine what’s possible now.

Our ongoing planning services are typically included as part of our investment management offering, with no additional fees. However, if you’re not utilizing our investment management services, we offer ongoing planning through a subscription-based model. Should your needs evolve into a new life phase requiring a fresh plan, we’ll revisit the planning process and provide a transparent proposal and fee quote tailored to your new circumstances, at that time.
